Peak Auctioneering - Building Materials Auctioneer

Loading and Handling

All purchases and/or materials must be removed from the auction site by no later than noon on the day following the last of active auction. Peak Auctioneering is required, by contract with site officials, to insure compliance. Materials left after deadline may be considered "abandoned."

All material must be paid for before being moved from its' location. No material will be loaded without a "paid" invoice. Buyers should keep "paid" invoices with them at all times. (Tip: It is typical to payout and load two or three times a day.)

No vehicles will be allowed in buildings unless otherwise directed by the Sale Manager. Buyers should come prepared to move their purchases from the building by hand, with handcarts or dollies, and with additional personnel if needed. The buyer should make arrangements for rental trucks and/or hauling in advance.

Fork Lifts: Generally, forklifts will begin loading buyer materials no earlier than noon on Saturday and 7:30am on Sunday. Unless otherwise indicated, loading may continue throughout the day and for a period of 2 hours after the close of auction activity each day. No forklifts will operate in the immediate area of any active auction ring.

Forklifting is available through the Sale Manager at a fee of $5 per lift. The Sale Manager reserves the right to adjust the fee for oversize loads and loads requiring the use of more than one forklift. Fork lifts and their drivers operate under the direction of the buyer being loaded and Peak Auctioneering accepts no responsibility for injury or damage to person or property while involved in the loading process. Under no circumstances will unauthorized persons operate a forklift. TIPPING FORKLIFT DRIVERS IS NOT REQUIRED.

Reminder: All purchases become the responsibility of the successful bidder at the "moment of sale." Peak Auctioneering is not liable for lost or stolen material once it has been "sold" to the successful bidder. WATCH YOUR MERCHANDISE! Although security may be present on-site, ultimate responsibility for all purchases belongs to the buyer.
